hey there
so i sent an heavy STL to the nano DLP, what happend next is:
nanoDLP stop responding and disappeared from network -----> i restarted the RPi3 -----> now i cant find the nano DLP on my network (
is there any way to fix it? or i need to burn the image from scratch and loose all my resin profiles (( ?

SSH or SFTP into rpi and remove last plate on folder below.
/home/pi/printer/public/plates/

10q very much
y did that happen? is there some limitations in using the slicer?

UPDATE: the nano DLP getting stuck now even with the simplest cube stl file...
would burning the image again fix this?
its making like 8 layers
and then stuck with:
9.png.tmp
10.png.tmp

Share debug file (setup page, tools tab, debug button). It should be fixable without rewriting SD image.

10x for your help shahin

Have you removed plate? I do not see much log on debug file. Could you let it works for couple of minutes and take debug file as soon as you suspect it is going to get stuck.

mmmmm yeah i removed the plate in order to be up and running with the nanoDLP
ill try to give more details:
im trying to slice an STL file, then everything is getting stuck and the nanoDLP goes offline no matter how much im waiting, i cant get in to the nanoDLP through the browser, and it disappear from the network, even after a reboot of the pi
so i use winSCP to look inside the raspberry, and i see the slicing got stuck after 8 layers.
then i use putty to delete the new plate folder
then i reboot the pi
and now the pi is back in the network and i can access it through the browser
BUT
now if i go to the plates, through the browser interface, i can see the plate i just deleted with the putty, and i can see the number of layers it should have, but if ill try to run it, it wont work.
and if ill go inside the pi through the winSCP, that plate does not exist... so i go back to the browser and delete the plate from the interface...

This is correct behavior as you have removed plate from disk but not from UI.
So after removing from UI still do you experience any issue? I mean still freezes on new plate uploads?
Offline
yeah it still freeze
i formatted yesterday and burned a new image and now all is good...

Hi
I have same problem. When I upload heavy STL NanoDLP crashed!
I tryed different ways to understand what wrong and find next:
I thought that this problem with stl or system memory but no!
It can be crashed when in Resin profile you change pixel dimming.
In "?" advised to type "wall around dimming" 3 pixels but if I type it 3 or higher - system crashed!
If I type it 2 - it's working.
May be developers can fix it and tell why it happends?
For some files I need this parametr about 5-7.
On small models it's working
My build 1744

Could you share sample STL file which cause this issue.

Please
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1VNCxZq … sp=sharing
it's not so heavy but it's crashed system
on my screen I see https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lhwOJy … sp=sharing
when file loaded it sliced few layers and crashed system
stl was repaired https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rxR0Pt … sp=sharing

hey, i used stl2png python code from git bash to process heavy stl and the upload it as zip.
the negative thing in that way is that i dont get the dimming control in that way =\

I had upload 200 Mb file to NanoDlp.
It swored that used full memory but created slicing.

Mikhail,
Are you sure you are on the latest version? As it does not crash my systems and get sliced perfectly.

version 1744. No updates available...
it was updated to last stable version.

this is what I see in log file https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vaxafT … sp=sharing

последняя стабильная 1769
бета 1771 -ваш файл pi нарезает за 30 сек (слой 0,05) при любом расcкладе pixel dimming
the last stable 1769
beta 1771-your file pi cuts in 30 seconds for any pixel dimming

is it possible if model bigger than print area?
I make it smaller and it was sliced but first 15 layers was with error "faulty contours"

is it possible if model bigger than print area?
yes, I have not changed my print area, your model is bigger than the print area
I just opened your file for interest and cut it
Offline
I see build 1765 as last version
when you upload files system must notice you about file size.
and if it's bigger that print area stop slicing (for example)

currently the latest Windows version 1769
raspberry version
beta 1775 just updated
