USB file transfer, is this the EASIEST way?

Some of my larger files cannot be sent via Wifi. I would like to transfer from computer to Raspberry pi 3. I have a Mac but also windows.

1) What format does the USB need to be?

2) I saw otherfew posts on here about this but it says to enter "sudo apt-get install usbmount" in the Terminal.... Is that terminal done through the cloud dashboard? You just enter that code in the G-code section and hit enter? I get a response of "skip 0 , ok"

Thank you for whom responds

1) FAT will file systems are compatible with linux.
2) no, you need to ssh into device and run command.

Remote slicer feature is easier and faster to use and you do not need to transfer anything physically.
