Hi,
I make a new plate import the model no problem.
Check in plate view and the model is flat on the grid.
save the plate and it start processing no problem.
When its finished I click on layers and the 1st layer shows nothing, move to the second
layer and there is the models base showing.
What am I doing wrong?

Are you sure your model is oriented at Z zero ??

Probably very tiny triangle is on layer one which gets skipped as it could be too small to render.
If you could share source file, also try netfabb to see if file has any shell which also could cause these kind of issue.

I reformatted the sd card and put the software back on and its working now.
