Hi guys,
So, I dusted off one of my D7s over the weekend and wanted to use the latest version of nanoDLP - like many others (over the last 3 -4 years now it would seem) I tried to just install the newest version and the screen just wouldn't work - well.... I managed to solve this and am here to tell you how!
Step 1 - install the original D7 nanodlp file from 3dprinter wiki
Step 2 - once installed and setup via wireless or connected via ethernet, connect to your Pi.
Step 3 - Expand the file system.
Step 4 - SSH into your Pi using Putty or similar so you can use the terminal commands.
Step 5 - Enter the command prompt from the nanodlp advanced installation guide
Step 6 - Run through the on screen instructions, eventually you will get to a point that asks if you want to update the Pi's graphics - I chose no.
Step 7 - Complete the installation and reboot your machine.
You should now be able to see the latest build (8883 as of writing this) and still have a working screen!
I can't remember exactly what came up as I was going the installation, but I do remember saying no yes to most things in the list. I did this yesterday after trying to get it sorted most of the day / night before - tiredness makes the memory go slack, hahaha!
If you're still having trouble after following my very brief step guide, leave a comment and I'll run through it again on a different SD card.
