Webcam Support?

I know NanoDLP supports the PiCam; however, what if I wanted to use a USB webcam?  Is this possible?  How about two USB webcams?  The use-case for two webcams would be having one monitor the part as it's coming out of the vat.  The second webcam would be positioned underneath the vat in such a way so as to monitor how the part is releasing from the PDMS or FEP film.

Thoughts?  Is it possible?

Re: Webcam Support?

nanoDLP's piCam supports is just call to camera binary, nothing low level going on. You can connect any number of webcams and etc. But there is an issue with stalled processes so I am reluctant to call external executable for non critical tasks.

My suggestion is that,
1. connect cams and write crontab or somethings similar to take video or image
2. change ui/js to display images and videos
3. it is possible to call printer.ip/status to sync image taking tasks

If you need anything let me know.

p.s. Have you solved the nanodlp/windows issue?

Re: Webcam Support?

Hi Shahin:

Nope, I have not solved the nanodlp / windows 10 issue as of yet.  I've been side-tracked on other projects.
