Hi there!
I have a new Wanhao Duplicator 7 SLA\resin printer
After 2 attempts, nothing printed. I ws trying to print that fancy small cube stl using FTD soft white
It looks like the HDMI LCD is not coming on. When I go to the projector calibration and select a pattern, I don't see a pattern generated. The UV LED matrix does comes on however, but no pattern.

It is getting a signal. When I look inside, there is a green led that is on solid, but when I unplug the the hdmi cable, it starts to blink.
I scoured the internet to see if there was a way to find out if nanodlp was detecting the hdfmi lcd screen
I found if I ran tvservice and parse it I can.

The Failed comments are what I noticed in the parse. Like the lcd isn't comaptibe? Even though the below is what is given to us for configuring it.

Is there a way to find out what the LCD parameters should be?

You can get some parameters by connecting driver to linux pc. I am not sure about windows.
RPi is not good in detecting displays specially non-standard ones.
See if you could get image on PC, maybe it is a display failure.

I had this problem too....I did get a setup that works....I will see if I can post it when I get to the printer...I get good information and help for the D7 at:

Also when I was trying to work this out I plugged the HDMI into a monitor...It is easier to see what is happening as there is no back light on the D7 except the UV which you have to turn on to see the LCD and looking down into the UV source didn't seem like a great idea.

Yeah I plugged it into my regular monitor and after changing the hdmi_mode to 1 It did displaythe first layer of a plate
Hey macderren I do know that site and have beewn reading it extensiveily and saw earlier today about how to manually turn on the UV LED matrix (Though some say it turns on the LCD, it doesn't) and it gave me an idea
Reconnect hdmi back to the D7
Send gcode M106 via the terminal to the D7 to turn on the UV led
Make sure the bed is raised so that you can see the screen
Do a sudo reboot and you see it exit the nanodlp software and display the rpi logo on the lcd screen with the UV led matricx backlight on so that you can see the screen

So it works
Then just to make sure it was displaying the plate to be displayed, I figured out how to raise the bed after starting a plate witih the Gcode. And I saw it displaying the first layer of the rook. Nice white circle. The small cube plate is just to smale to discern on the screen.
I just now need to figure out why the resin (FTD white) isn't curing to the plate. or curing at all for that matter from the UV led.
Don't know how bright the UV leds are supposed to be. Doesn't seem very bright to me. Yeah, I'm not lookign at it for long period of time and not directly. Seems similiar to blacklight, but I think dif freq.
Did see someone on the FB forum mention something about sanding the bed with a very fine grit to get the resin to stick
Or its the FEP sheet which is really foggy.

Glad you got it going..
I didn't sand my plate but my resin sticks really well...My FEP is not overly clear anymore but still works.....I haven't tried the FTD white but several others seem to be getting it to work on the D7.
Just ordered some Monucure hoping that works for me as well as it did for others. The LED is not super bright but it need not be as most of the light that does the curing should be outside or at the very edge of visible. But no curing at all seems like something odd is happening. maybe test some blob of resin just in the vat with the light on and LCD set to white for a few minutes and see if it cures at all?

Ok thanks that gives me a frame of reference.
The blob printed when I did a different plate(the rook)
So I did a full print of the make rook and it printed great!
I'd post a pic , but I can't figure out how to.
Yeah I got that monocure clear a couple days ago(and a couple other colors as well since shipping is high ) . Will be trying it this weekend
I think FTD has already ran out from what I saw of their resins. Monocure may be soon I'm sure
