Hi I am a final year mechanical engineering student. I am building a DLP Stereolithography 3D Printer.
I am using the following:
- Raspberry Pi3B+
- NanoDLP Shield v1.1
- ACER X118H DLP Projector
- NEMA17 Stepper Motors.
The NanoDLP software is successfully loaded and working fine. The shield is setup successfully as well. However I am stuck at one place;
The motors receive the signal from the software however it only makes a winding noise and does not actually move/step (yet on software it showing the change in displacement). I have tried almost everything including adjusting the voltage reference on the shield. All end up in the winding of motors. The limit switches don't seem to stop the motor as well.
How do I get my motors to step?
Please help ASAP, my project is due on 07/12/2020.

You need to adjust the current.

Thank you Shahin.
I've managed to sort this out.
Now that the motors are stepping its going back and forth and not completing one simple turn.
I even tried to set the step to "1" yet it continuously jerks in opposite directions.
How do I get it to step smoothly in one direction

It seems wiring issue, my guess is direction and pulse pins wired together!!
