Does Anyone Successfully Use Hexagonal Infill?

If so how do you deal with drainage or other related issues? Thx for any thoughts.

Re: Does Anyone Successfully Use Hexagonal Infill?

I have used hex Infill in the past but recent issue with nanoDLP has for many models generated a false layers under the infill that traps resin. Previously specifying no top or bottom layers would leave the open for drainage.

Thx macdarren. Has a bug been introduced in the functionality surrounding hollowing/infill that caused you ti stop using it?

yes....it works for some things but not others...what seems to happen is that on certain models and I am not sure what causes the issue maybe model height vs Z layer size or something but it puts on a final layer under the infil that traps resin....I still use the feature but I check the preview of the layers...if the last layer shows up very red indicating unsupported material I can tell right away it will not work.
