Hi everyone,
So far I use a nanodlp image for D7 from 3dprinterwiki website.
My D7 has firmware updated to version 1.3 (from the same site again).
It is a build 1437. Everything is working but remote slicer is missing in this build.
Update through nanodlp app is not working.
I update first the date and hour manually through SSH because the international option is not working well. For South Africa I have always wrong hour.
I update then nanodlp with the command "(wget http://www.nanodlp.com/nanodlp.beta.tar.gz? -O - | tar -C /home/pi -xz);cd /home/pi/printer;sudo ./setup.sh"
It works, I have the last build available.
Then problems begin :-)
With machine profile exported previously the Z axis is working well. When I update setting from nanodlp repository the Z axis is reverted.
Second issue with both profiles I can light on the projector in projector calibration page but nothing is displayed.
Shutter on and off are working but otherwise I have no form/template. It is just on or off.
Hope someone can support.
I just start in DLP printing and Rpi after 5 years in FDM.
I have the feeling to start from scratch.
Thks

Maybe configuration files have been changed. Share your profiles.
There is an option to reverse axis on the setup page. About image display issue, it is very strange. It usually indicates hardware problem as not much on display engine changed between 1437 and the latest version.

Hi Shahin,
Thanks for your help.
Here is the machine profile, I changed extension from json to txt in order to have it accepted by the forum.
I also attach the bug report I had when I tried with last build.
Thanks again for the great job you are doing.

Do you get picture by connecting to another source?
Have you checked out D7 facebook group for similar issues?

Hi Shahin,
NanoDLP downgraded to build 1437 is working fine, printer is working normally.
I checked on facebook but was not able to find anything similar.
Do you think that I should try the standard wanhao firmware or I should stick to the modified one for nanodlp?

Very strange, nothing major changed on view front to affect your installation and if you get picture on 1437 you should continue get it on latest builds too.
Use modified one. even-though official one says it is compatible with nanodlp, it is not (I do not know why they call it compatible)
Maybe it displays picture but UV lamp is off, could you verify it.

Hi,
Basically it is the opposite, UV lamp is working it is the screen filtering the UV that is either all open or fully closed but not displaying picture.
I will retry to update to last version and check. Maybe I did something wrong.
Stupid question, I did a test yesterday to check the size and geometry of parts printed as I noticed a non sqare angle issue on my first parts.
I did a cube and noticed that the X, Y and Z dimension are wrong.
On wanhao page support they advice to check the screen size parameter in Creation workshop (in addition of resolution parameter).
I only see resolution in nanodlp, is there a place to define the screen size?
In calibration projector, what size square are supposed to be?
Thanks for time spend to help.

On setup page you can define resolution. Do not forget to regenerate plates after changing resolution.

Hi Shahin,
On setup page the resolution is correct but I have noticed some geometry issue on my prints.
I tried a 40mm cube and all dimensions are wrong.
On X and Y cube is 2mm too small and 1mm too small on Z.
The normal way to correct is to increase resolution of 5% (for X and Y)?
For Z i should play with screw pitch?
Thanks

Looks like half of size issue is related to resin. For the other half try calibration view on projector page, measure rectangle and compare it to screen resolution.

Hi Shahin,
I did again the update and that time again I had the same issue.
Z move is inverted, distance is not good, display is not working (uv on or off only).
I restarted nanodlp and nothing changed, then I restarted
the D7 and finally everything worked... :-)
I will open another topic for the size issue.
Thanks
