Display start issues with windows version

I'm running the windows version on windows 10. Everything seems to work fine except when I press Display Start button my screen goes black and I have to escape out to get Nanodlp back up. The image on the projector is the entire windows screen, not just the layer slices. Does anyone know how to make that work?

Does anyone have any experience with this? Admin is telling me to adjust the display number which doesn't seem to exist on the windows version of Nanodlp. Can anyone please help me? Anyone?
